# Camera

## Summary

Published: Oct 01 2024 by [mana vortex](mailto:undefined), based on research by Cindefalla

The game measures FOV horizontally on foot while it's measured vertically for vehicle first person.

I figured this out after setting the FOV for vehicles, as well as the enter and exit animation to 90, while setting on-foot to 120. And there was no FOV shift. 120 Horizontal = 89 vertical based on a 16:9 aspect ratio.

If you were to set all vehicle FOV values to the same as on-foot, e.g., 120. the FOV shifts to a wider horizontal FOV, which should be 144 in this example.

Aspect ratio doesn't affect vertical FOV in cyberpunk so I presume it uses Hor+ scaling like most games

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://wiki.redmodding.org/cyberpunk-2077-modding/for-mod-creators-theory/files-and-what-they-do/camera.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
